This project was a recommendation from a previous AMPC project (2017-1068), which analysed the monitoring procedures in Australia's meat export establishments. The broad objectives of the project were to generate data to evaluate the proposed alternative monitoring system and enable further refinement, at the end of which one alternative system was developed.

From the results, this could potentially assist market access opportunities from a cost perspective without compromising food safety or quality for our Australian meat export establishments.
